Located in the same urban area, the parish church of Santa Baia de Boiro is a clear example of rural baroque art. Located next to the Camino Real, the parish church in the eighteenth century saw the largest enlargement works. Its baroque origins are manifested in stylistic motifs, highlighting the bell tower, inspired by the Clock Tower of the Compostelana Cathedral. However, the oldest part of the temple is the Sacristy, which was the main chapel of the previous temple, built at the beginning of the eighteenth century. The church is enriched with the sculptural work of masters such as Miguel de Romay, one of the first figures of Baroque Galician sculpture, and local artisans and artists such as Núñez de la Tenencia, who have created numerous sculptural works throughout the region.
