From its origin, the celebration of the magosto consisted in a celebration around the fire, with which our ancestors honored the good harvests. Among chestnuts and roasted sausages, accompanied by new red wine, they gathered on the cold nights of early November, to share stories and ancient legends. A beautiful tradition that has reached our times.
Associations of neighbors, schools, groups of families and friends now gather around a bonfire to roast the chestnuts, jump the "cacharela" and to fill the face of ash with each other with the remains of the bonfire.
This celebration is generally celebrated between the feast of All Saints and the San Martin, day of killing the pig.
