Welcome to Boiro. Look at the map, it will help you locate you. Boiro is a municipality in the region of Barbanza, located in the ría de Arousa. In the south of A Coruña province , Boiro is quite near to the main cities of Galicia.

The weather

Boiro enjoys a pleasant climate, where the winters are mild, with minimums that do not usually fall below 9ºC; And summers, with temperatures wich are more than ideal (with averages situated at 20ºC), are the sunniest on the northern peninsular coast.

Population

Its location near the coast, proximity to the Barbanza Mountains and mild climate have always withstood a considerable dense population which nowadays is about 19000 people in the county spread out over 86 km2.
