Between the XVI and XVIII centuries, important mansions and mansions, mansions of noble nobles and hidalgas families were built. Its dimensions, nobiliary shields, towers, solanas, chapels, palomares and ample gardens give an idea of the power that their owners had.
The most significant example of these stately residences is the Torre Pazo de Goiáns, located at the mouth of the Coroño river. Currently municipal property. Of the lineages of the inhabitants of the pazo represented in their shields, we emphasize the image of the mermaid of the island of Sálvora de los Mariño. Legend has it that the powerful family was born from the encounter between a fisherman and a mermaid. The farm is made up of the pazo-torre, the chapel, the hórreo, the dovecote, the house of the landlords, the mills the pier and the fishing. The area has a great environmental potential, in addition to an autochthonous forest with pines, oaks, chestnut trees and cork oaks, we find other centennial species of great interest.
